Dr. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Senior Consultant
As a Management Consultant of Sensei International specializing in ‘Change Engineering’, Ajantha’s clients include companies such as Unilever and Maersk as well as many local companies in Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
His doctorate on Strategic Human Resource Management, involving a South Asian regional study sponsored by Commonwealth AMDISA doctoral scholarship enabled him to broaden his scope of training and consultancy with emphasis on people development. His early engineering qualifications and experience at Unilever provided a solid base for building his subsequent HR experience with Hemas Holdings, Clipsal and Nestle.
His exposure to Sensei International’s thinking and tools, has enhanced his experience and technical knowledge, to make him a world-class resource, with special emphasis on tool customization and application. His specialty is in creating and delivering solutions with the right blend of tools, to address the transformational need of the clients of Sensei International by selecting, adopting, customizing and utilizing from a variety of change tools such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Continuous Improvement (CI), “10 Habits”, Balanced Score Card, 5S, 360 Degree Appraisals, Emotional Quotient (EQ), Spiritual Quotient (SQ), HRD Audit and Competency Mapping.
Ajantha is an experienced Total Quality Facilitator, trained by Quest Quality Consulting, Australia. More recently, he was a member of the Sensei team who developed and delivered a 360 Degree feedback programme and a Balanced Scorecard implementation programme customized for Maersk and the Rahimafrooz Group respectively.
As a member of the MBA faculty of the Post Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, he has presented academic papers in the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Ajantha is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management (UK) and the Association of HR Professionals (Sri Lanka).
